Frequently Asked Questions

Because almost everything on it is software-controlled. Drive, charging, climate, safety and infotainment each run on their own control unit. Fitting a replacement unit without writing software to it and introducing it to the network leaves you with a part the car refuses to use.

That pattern usually points at software rather than hardware. A module that was replaced but never properly coded, or firmware that is out of step across two systems, will keep producing the same symptom no matter how many parts are changed. We read the vehicle before recommending anything.

In most cases yes. Region coding turns on functions the vehicle already has but had switched off for its original market, and corrects language, units and radio bands. With the number of imported EVs in Qatar this is one of our more common jobs.

A single module is usually one to three hours. A full firmware sequence across several networked systems takes longer, and we tell you the expected time before we start rather than once you are already waiting.

It is when the right equipment is used. We follow the manufacturer procedure with secure tooling, so the immobiliser and anti-theft functions are intact and working when you collect the car.

Manufacturer software applied to manufacturer procedure does not. If a particular job would sit outside that, we explain it first so you can decide.
