The EQE is built on a purpose-designed electric platform rather than adapted from a combustion car, which shows in its low floor, long wheelbase and quiet ride. Depending on specification it offers rear or all-wheel drive, air suspension, rear-axle steering and a large connected display system, with assistance features that depend on precisely calibrated cameras and radar. Servicing it is detailed work: battery state of health and thermal circuits, brake fluid and brake condition on a car that mostly brakes regeneratively, suspension and steering electronics, and software that must be handled in the right sequence. EVS covers all of it, including warranty-related repair.
