LYNK & CO builds connected, design-led vehicles on shared European and Chinese engineering, and its newer models are electrified rather than conventional. The 900 is the flagship: a large three-row SUV using a plug-in hybrid system in which electric motors do most of the driving and a petrol engine extends the range. A vehicle like this needs a workshop comfortable on both sides of the drivetrain, since a plug-in hybrid still needs oil, filters and coolant for its engine while also needing battery health testing, inverter diagnostics and high-voltage safety procedure. A plug-in hybrid has both systems, so it needs everything an EV needs — battery health testing, thermal service, high-voltage inspection — plus engine oil, filters, spark plugs and coolant. Skipping the engine side because the car is mostly driven on electricity is the most common mistake we see.
Yes. On a plug-in hybrid that usually means the battery is not holding charge, the charging system is faulty or the drive strategy is defaulting to the engine. We test all three rather than assuming the engine is at fault.
Yes. Warranty-related maintenance and repair is carried out to manufacturer procedure, with parts and labour recorded so your coverage is preserved.
Every 12 months or 20,000 km as a guide. Plug-in hybrid models driven mostly on electricity still need their engine oil changed on time, because oil ages by date as well as by distance.
